This page describes the internal automation tool that weauto (Johnny Do, sole trader, ABN 42 459 779 676) uses to manage its own Google Ads campaigns. It exists to satisfy the disclosure requirements of the Google Ads API Developer Token Policy.

Purpose
weauto sells one product: a $299 (incl. GST) AI-built website for Australian local businesses. To acquire customers, weauto runs Google Ads on its own Google Ads account targeting Australian small-business search terms (e.g. “website for tradie”, “cheap small business website”). The internal automation tool exists to manage these campaigns programmatically, so a sole-trader operator does not need to log into the Google Ads UI manually each day.
Scope of use
The tool is used onlyon weauto’s own Google Ads account. weauto does not manage Google Ads for any customer, agency, or third party. weauto does not resell or sub-license access to the developer token. The tool is single-tenant and single-account.
Functions performed
- Create and update search campaigns targeting Australian small-business keywords.
- Adjust bids based on conversion data (Stripe Checkout completions tied back to ad clicks via UTM tags).
- Pause underperforming ad groups and keywords.
- Generate ad copy variants and rotate them based on click-through rate.
- Pull reporting (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) into the operator dashboard.
Data handled
- Google Ads campaign data on weauto’s own account only.
- Aggregate keyword and ad performance metrics.
- No personal data of any individual is read from or written to the Google Ads API.
- No customer data is sent to Google Ads beyond what is publicly visible in ad copy.
Access control
- The developer token is stored as an encrypted environment variable on Vercel.
- Only the operator (Johnny Do) has access to the underlying credentials.
- The tool is not exposed as a public API, web app, or downloadable product.
- All API calls originate from weauto’s own server-side infrastructure on Vercel.
Compliance
Use of the Google Ads API is governed by the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions. This tool is operated as a single-account internal automation, in line with the Basic Access tier described in the Google Ads API Developer Token Policy. Personal data we collect from website customers is handled per our privacy policy; the Google Ads API path does not touch that data.
