The 5-day timeline
Our promise: your site goes live within 5 business days of you submitting the intake form. The clock starts when we have everything we need from you — not when you pay.
Here's how the days break down:
- Day 0 (intake submitted): Your shop goes into the build queue.
- Day 1: We draft your full custom site overnight and send you a private preview link by this time tomorrow.
- Day 2–3: You review the preview and send any change requests. We turn changes around within 24 hours.
- Day 4: Final polish. Mobile + accessibility check. SEO basics in place.
- Day 5: Site goes live on your domain.
Business days, not calendar days
We count Monday to Friday, AEST. Weekends and Australian public holidays don't count toward the 5 days. If you submit your intake on a Friday afternoon, day 1 is Monday.
What can slow this down
The most common reason a site takes longer than 5 days is waiting on you— for content (especially photos), preview approval, or DNS access for your domain. We can't go live without those.
Specifically, the clock pauses if we're waiting on:
- Photos. If you didn't share any in the intake, we use clean stock photography for launch and swap yours in later. That's fine — we'd rather ship.
- Preview approval. Once we send the preview, you've got it. Reply with "approve" or a list of changes.
- Domain access. If you have an existing
.com.au, we need login access to your registrar to point DNS. DNS setup guide here.
What if you need it faster?
We can sometimes turn around in 3 days for an urgent launch. Email hello@weauto.orgwith the reason and we'll see what we can do — no extra cost.
What if it takes longer than 5 days?
If we miss the 5-day window because of something on our side (not waiting on you), we'll let you know what happened and what the new ETA is. We've never had to do this so far.
