These terms apply when you buy a website build or a retainer from weauto. By placing an order, you agree to them. If something here doesn't make sense for your situation, email hello@weauto.orgbefore you order — we'll talk it through.
1. Who we are
weauto is a small Australian web-build service. We design, build, and host websites for local businesses. Service operated from Australia. (ABN displayed in site footer.)
2. What you get
The $299 build package includes:
- A custom website (homepage + standard inner pages).
- First-year .com.au or .au domain registration.
- First-year hosting and SSL.
- Two rounds of revisions before the site goes live.
- 90 days of small content updates after launch (text, photos, hours).
Anything outside this scope (additional pages, integrations, e-commerce, custom features) is quoted separately or covered under a retainer.
3. Timeline
We aim to launch within 5 business days of receiving your intake form. The clock pauses when we're waiting on you — for content, photos, approval of the preview, or DNS access. We'll always tell you within 24 hours of any blocker.
4. Payment
- The $299 build fee is paid up-front via Stripe.
- Retainers (where applicable) are billed monthly via Stripe.
- Year-two domain renewal and hosting are charged at-cost or at the retainer rate, depending on plan.
- All prices are in AUD. GST is not currently charged (we are under the GST threshold). If that changes, we'll update pricing transparently.
5. Refunds
See our refund policy. In short: full refund if you're not happy with the first preview; pro-rata refund of unused months on retainers.
6. Content you provide
- You confirm you own (or are licensed to use) any text, photos, logos or other material you supply.
- You grant us the licence necessary to use that material to build, host, and maintain your site.
- Stock photos we add are licensed under standard commercial licences and stay valid for as long as your site is hosted with us.
7. Ownership of the finished site
- You own the content of the site.
- You own the domain (registered in your name where possible, or transferable on request).
- The codebase and template are licensed to you for use on the site we built. We retain rights to reuse generic patterns and components on other client sites.
- If you cancel and want to take the site elsewhere, we'll provide a static export of the site so you can host it anywhere. Some dynamic features (forms, integrations) may need to be rebuilt on the new host.
8. Hosting and uptime
We host on Vercel. Uptime is best-effort and typically 99.9%+, but we don't guarantee a specific SLA at this price point. We do guarantee that if your site goes down, we'll work on it as soon as we're aware.
9. Acceptable use
We won't build or host sites that promote unlawful activity, hate speech, malware, scams, adult content, or anything we judge in good faith to be incompatible with our service. We can refuse or terminate service for these reasons; if we terminate, we'll refund any unused portion of fees.
10. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the issue. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.
11. Privacy
We handle your information per our privacy policy.
12. Cancellation
- You can cancel a build before the preview is delivered for a full refund.
- You can cancel a retainer at the end of any monthly billing cycle.
- If we cancel (e.g. acceptable-use breach), we'll refund any unused portion of fees.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to active customers, and the “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the version that applies to new orders.
