From our cosy nursery to our school-readiness kindy program, every room is designed around your child's developmental stage.
Nursery — 6 weeks to 18 months
Our intimate nursery offers gentle routines, sensory play, and constant care for your youngest family members. Low ratios mean every baby receives personalised attention.
Toddler Room — 18 months to 2½ years
As curiosity explodes, our toddler room channels it into language-rich, hands-on exploration. Messy play, music, and lots of outdoor time.
Junior Kindy — 2½ to 3½ years
Building independence and social confidence. Children work alongside peers on projects, stories, and creative arts in a beautifully resourced environment.
Kindy — 3½ to 4½ years
Our approved kindergarten program is delivered by a degree-qualified teacher and meets the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Pre-Prep — 4½ to 5 years
The year before school, done right. School readiness skills, self-regulation, and a love of learning that will carry children through primary school and beyond.
Vacation Care
School-age vacation care for children up to 12 years during term breaks. Excursions, incursions, sport, and creative projects all school holidays.

At Sunshine Steps, every day follows a warm, predictable rhythm that helps children feel safe and settled. We know that when children trust what comes next, they are free to explore, create, and connect.
Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) — but in practice, it looks like mud kitchens, story corners, garden beds, block construction, and long conversations about bugs. Learning here is active, joyful, and child-led.

Things parents ask us.
What ages do you enrol?
We enrol children from 6 weeks through to 5 years in our main programs, and school-age children up to 12 years in our vacation care program.
Is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) available?
Yes — Sunshine Steps is approved for the Child Care Subsidy. Most families receive significant fee relief through CCS. Our enrolment team can walk you through the process when you book your tour.
What is your educator-to-child ratio?
We meet and often exceed the national quality standard ratios: 1:4 in the nursery, 1:5 in toddlers, and 1:11 in kindy. Our rooms are never over-crowded.
Do you provide meals?
Yes — we provide a full catering service including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. All meals are prepared fresh on-site by our cook using seasonal, whole-food ingredients. Menus are displayed weekly.
